Some aesthetic issues related to the shape or position of your gums can be corrected through refined surgical techniques.

This includes smiles that show too much gum or teeth that have gum recession and expose their roots.

Crown lengthening

By reducing the amount of gum and bone around certain teeth, we can make the clinical crowns of the teeth longer. As a result, we improve the appearance of the teeth and the smile.

Gingivectomy

Having an excessive amount of gum tissue typically results in teeth appearing too short. Reducing the amount of gum tissue can be a simple method to correct this aesthetic issue.

Gingival graft

Un manque de gencive devant une dent ou un implant peut s’avérer disgracieux. Dans ce cas, la greffe gingivale peut corriger le défaut esthétique. Voyez deux exemples des techniques les plus souvent utilisées :

Alveolar ridge augmentation using soft tissue graft

Sometimes, a lack of underlying bone structure beneath the gum can create a concavity in the alveolar ridge where a tooth is missing. This can result in an aesthetic concern, particularly in the anterior region of the mouth. In such cases, it is possible to increase the thickness of the gum tissue to create a more natural appearance. This helps to blend the areas where natural teeth and prosthetic teeth are present, making them less distinguishable.
